Arrival in Beijing

We have arrived in Beijing. At the airport, which was really quite impressive, there was this really big mural that there was just to little time to admire properly but I figured at least I should take some limited pictures of it.

We are staying in the historic (so we are told) Beijing Landmark Towers hotel and we are on the 15th floor of the hotel.  The view is very impressive as there are a lot of skyscrapers of varying designs.

We took a walk this afternoon to a local park but it was hot and we are all still very tired so we did not really stay that long.

Everyone otherwise is in very good spirits and tomorrow, Saturday, we will be heading out to see the Forbidden City.  We have made plans to see the "Great Wall" on the way back out of country with Danny.
