Out of order - in more ways than one

Adjustment is hard to do.

Tears and happiness are trading places frequently.

Cries for his foster grandma and why did she leave him have alternated with bouts of laughter and boyish aggression.

It is so hard to see and hear him cry and yet not be able to console him in a substantial manner.

It's all I can do to get close to him to wipe away the tears. It is apparent that there will be lots of tears ahead.

For now his best friends are a push pop sucker and a Lightning McQueen car.

More to come from us later.

Note: Robin is composing a long timeline of the events in country for perusal later.

  1. Phyllis cried nearly constantly the first two days. She cried out for her "ayia" or auntie as we walked through town. I didn't think I could do it. Everyday things got better. The kids were the first to help her find her smile. Just keep thinking about the great life you will share together. P.s. stay busy, share things together, don't stay in your room.

  2. Be strong. I know it's gonna be tough on the little guy.
