Well, we've made it to Chicago and have a 5 hour layover. This flying standby is for the birds... But apparently, Maddy is ready to take flight:

We're all in good spirits and hoping to get on the flight. Right now it looks like we are set for Business Class accommodations, one step below first. Oh well. I'll just be happy to get there as scheduled. I will post again before departure.

Hi Chaz - my father Bill sent me the link to your blog. It's been 4 1/2 years since he and I went to China to bring home my son Ray, to his awaiting family. I remember it intimately, but only as a dream.
